OK, First method - and arguably the simplest. I use Mint Xfce, so you may find a couple of things with different names assuming you are using something weird like Cinnamon. Just REMEMBER to write down everything you changed, so you can change it back again. There are better ways to do this, but these two methods are dead easy and 'might' solve your problem fairly simply.
